TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic

Exhort the Management group on the potential dangers to the ICRC staff, resources, activities and notoriety in light of the examination of the safety condition; Advise the Management group on the alterations required in the general way to deal with health/safety in accordance with the authoritative “Obligation of Care” commitments; Is in charge of the general administration of the safety and health office made out of nine staff individuals;

Operational

Guarantee a successful job of the health and safety office, through constant training, authority, the preparation of personnel exams and the advancement of an entry registration component; Develop intercessory conventions required for health officials / supervisors; Develop viable health and safety conventions in collaboration with the safety organization; Stay in touch with different divisions (eg, ICT, health personnel, administration and information management) to ensure consistency with particular standard working methods; Be accessible to react to any security and health situation in any circumstance;

Technical

Under direct supervision of the Deputy Head of Regional Delegation he \ she will:

Create safety rules for all occupant staff and guarantee their consistency; Develop / refresh important health conventions and survey their viability; Review / refresh all safety records intermittently and influence suggestions; To create checking devices for various safety-related issues; Ensure all episodes (counting close misses) are accounted for opportune in the safety administration data stage; Ensure basic occurrence administration frameworks are set up and refreshed when / where required and that all staff are prepared on the most proficient method to respond if there should be an occurrence of crisis;
